Mr. Leong Hoe Kit (Chief Executive Officer)
Mr. Leong Hoe Kit is a seasoned C-suite executive with over 30 years of leadership experience across financial services, capital markets, and investment management. A Chartered Accountant, Fellow member of CPA Australia, and MBA holder, he brings a unique blend of strategic foresight, operational discipline, and financial acumen honed through senior roles in fund management, investment banking, and corporate finance.
His career spans inspirational leadership at award-winning asset management firms, high-stakes corporate turnarounds, strategic advisory roles in corporate deals, and cross-border investments. He has led regulatory licensing efforts, spearheaded strategic finance initiatives, and driven shareholder value creation in various sectors.
Among others, he had acquired professional work experience at financial organizations like PwC, Hong Leong Capital, CLSA, and Pheim Asset Management. He also had a professional stint at Cairnsmore Services / Cairnsmore Capital, an offshore (Cayman Islands) funds management entity, which provided valuable experience in international funds management and administration. Additionally, he gained valuable experience that involved cross-border international investments and corporate financing when he was attached to JAKS Resources, an infrastructure company.
Known for his analytical rigor and risk-aware mindset, he balances governance with entrepreneurial agility – whether guiding a firm’s financial strategy, administrating global funds, or mentoring the next generation of finance, operations, and investment professionals. He has consistently delivered transformative outcomes in both corporate and investment settings, from significantly contributing in investment committees that spearhead award-winning fund strategies to executing billion-dollar infrastructure deals.
Mr. Lee Chan San (Head of Operations)
Mr. Lee Chan San is an accomplished professional in operations with over 18 years of experience in financial and capital market industry. He started his career in business outsourcing centre for insurance services in 1998, and in 2005, he ventured into stockbroking, investment banking and eventually into custodian banking. He has demonstrated expertise in optimising operational efficiency while navigating the complexities of capital markets during his tenure with OSK Investment Bank Berhad in securities settlement, asset servicing, as well as corporate trusts and private debt under OSK Trustees Berhad.
Prior to joining PHEIM Unit Trusts Berhad, he is instrumental as Operations Lead in Local and Global Custody (LGC), Global Securities Operations of Deutsche Bank (M) Berhad from 2012 to 2023. He has streamlined the LGC processes in foreign custody and foreign exchanges transactions covering APAC, EMEA and America. Mr. Lee Chan San has also engaged and improved efficiency in secured transmission for client-sub custodian, from conventional electronic transmission to Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT).
Mr. Lee Chan San graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from University Putra Malaysia in 1998 and subsequently obtained his Master in Business Administration from University Putra Malaysia in 2003.
Ahmad Izzudeen Razali (Compliance Officer)
En. Ahmad Izzudeen has over 10 years of experience in the Capital Market. He started his career as a Dealer’s Representative for a local Investment Bank doing sales, marketing and trades’ execution before joining a multinational asset management firm in Central Dealing role.
Throughout his tenure with both companies, he gained extensive hands-on experiences which have equipped him with a very strong understanding of Capital Market fundamentals and technicalities. The prior experience and insight in the business side of the industry have proven to be a significant compliment to the proficiency in carrying out the function as Compliance personnel.
En. Izzudeen graduated with a bachelor degree in Actuarial Science from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and Masters in Islamic Finance Practice from INCEIF University. He is also an alumnus of SIDC’s Islamic Capital Market Graduate Training Scheme (now known as the Islamic Capital Market Talent Development (ICMTD) Programme).
Ms. Tammy Yong Thian Hee (Compliance Officer)
Ms. Tammy Yong has over 19 year of working experience in the financial services and capital market industry. She has held several senior compliance positions in various financial institutions for over 12 years.
Prior to joining Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd, she was the Head of Compliance of Stockbroking Company, leading a compliance team of 2 compliance executives. Before that, she was the Compliance Manager in an Investment Bank for close to 3 years.
Ms. Tammy graduated with a Bachelor of Business, Major in Accounting from Edith Cowan University, Australia in 1999.
